Many materials have been discovered so far, considering the combinations of elements, there are innumerable materials yet to be discovered, and functional materials have a potential to solve various social issues. As in the case of space exploration and deep-sea exploration, material exploration is a frontier for mankind.
The urgent challenge is to find unexpected material from the huge materials searching space as fast as possible. Obviously, discovering new materials by the current "manpower-dependent research methods" will become more and more difficult. Therefore, it is essential to utilize the materials exploration system combining AI and robotics. An excellent material search system will be realized based on the researcher's intuition, tips and tricks, and experience. Applying AI and robotics to materials exploration is a key to make our work more creative.
In this website, not only our research, but also trends in the world will be widely introduced.
